Exhibitions - Transcience
I was selelcted to exhibit this series of work at Agua Doce Fresh Water exhibition in Santiago de Compostela, Spain, along side other artists such as David Hockney and Tracy Emin in 2014. The Prince of Spain opened up the exhibition. Please see the PDF below for more details.
I approached this project by investigating transience of water focusing on its movement and diffusion. My primary source photographs were based on a lake in different weather conditions. Initially the water was smooth and still, however with hail stones concentric circles were created within the ripping water. I have experimented with a variety of media experimenting with resin, glass, Perspex, wood, metal, PVA and ice.
